2. Thoughts

Connecting the financial “dots” result  in  creating a “financial picture” that will leave you with a smile on your face.     Read on…..

10 Commandments

  1. Invest early in life
  2. Don’t panic when the stock market goes down
  3. Never time the market
  4. Build your base salary because your cost of living and merit pay is based upon your base salary.  (5% X $10,000 = $500, however 5% X 100,000=$5,000 !)
  5. Invest in yourself.  To replace a $100,000 salary, you would have to have $2 million in the bank earning 5% to generate $100,000 in income!
  6. If both spouses work, then live off of one salary.
  7. Get a 15 year mortgage instead of a 30 year mortgage.  Your interest expense will be cut in half.
  8. If you buy a new car, keep it until it dies.  The greatest amount of depreciation comes in the first 3 years.
  9. Keep your house thermostat at 65 degrees in the winter and 75 degrees in the summer.
  10. Buy insurance selecting the highest deductible.  You’ll save hundreds of dollars.
